BRANDS ON THE BLOCK

Happy happy happy new year!

I am honestly trying to stick to my promise of posting at least 2/3 times a month, but it is really difficult with this thing called education on my back; but I am back again with another inspiring  blog post.

For me 2017 is going to be an explosive year in a positive way, I just want to explore my creativity, grind as much as I can, and to honestly just be happy. Let me not get too carried way and start the blog post. This post is going to be about brands on the block as it says in the title. I have curated a list of 5 brands that I totally believe are going to be big;  4 of them are London,UK-based and 1 of them is based in America.

Let me not drag this for too long, let us get into the blog!

Btw these are not in any particular order, Enjoy x

1. CADE ON THE MAP

Cade on the map was created by these amazing creatives, Ade Hakeem and Clint Ogbenna August 2015. Ever since its being getting attention from many urban bloggers such as Vintage Risa and Mercy InBloom creatives

The thing I love most about this brand are the creative minds behind it. I take much inspiration from them because they are about a similar age bracket with me and they are just killing the game; socially and economically. They both have created a stylish lifestyle for themselves at a young age.

2. SIMPLICITY UNLIMITED

When I say Joshua Igbedion is doing bits with this brand, its unbelievable! From the tracksuits, to the jumpsuits and even Alpha Industries style of bomber jackets (which I really need to get asap), he is really taking he’s brand to the next level.

I feel like I have been a fan of this brand from the beginning of time, seeing the evolution of this brand starting of with basic logo t-shirts, to now some of the amazing products mentioned above. Its like I feel like a proud mum, and I don’t even know the owner. I love seeing people grow their brands and mold their lives around what they are passionate about.

Honestly to be big, start simple as simplicity is the key to success!

3. READY2GO

I honestly had to add this brand to this list, not only is the owner’s name my surname #Kareem but the story behind him creating his own brand is very inspiring. He dropped out of school because he knew education wasn’t for him and created his own clothing line honoring the talent his mother taught him.

I am telling you he hand sews his own jacket, when I say he’s sewing skills are out of this world; I thought I was quite good but he is amazing. Following him twitter really made me realize how talented Kareem is; he can create a shirt from a jumper, and you won’t even tell.

Absolutely talented!

4. HOME DELIVERY

This is one of the newish brands I started following. The reason why I was fond of this brand was because of the tagline ‘A contemporary clothing brand by family & friends’. I know you’re probably thinking, whats so great about it; it is because of the family vibe the clothing brand has around it. Watching the video which is attached (here) just made me love it more.

As it’s an upcoming brand I am looking forward to what Dimeji Obisesan the owner is going to bring in 2017!

 5. ART CONQUERS ALL (ACA)

Last but not the least – I present you Art Conquers All curated by the one and only Ezekixl Akinnewu. I started following him and Nicole back when they were all about the vintage and recreating outfits using clothes brought from vintage stores. From that I always knew that one day he will create his own brand, outfits made from scratch.

He recently brought out his fall 2017 designs and they are totally amazing, its simple but has an edge; it gives off a Kanye type of creativity. The beautiful model Yoshe Rose was feature, which I believed gave it that extra edge as she is just killing the game for me in the modelling industry.

Definitely waiting for his collection to appear in London Fashion Week!

For me 2017 is about conquering all my fears and just getting the things I was supposed to get in 2016.

Huge thank you to everyone who read Pink Invasion!

All the information for all the brands are down below, I would definitely do a part 2 to this because there is wayyyy too much people/brands killing the game!
